Legendary basketball tall-man Kareem Abdul Jabaar will be at Powell’s Books Cedar Hills Crossing location this Friday for a book signing in celebration of his latest literary offering. What better way to spend a Saturday afternoon than chowing down on some chowdah? It’s Lompoc Brewing’s Chowder Challenge, bringing together 12 local restaurants all vying for the title of best clam chowder in town. The best part? It’s truly democratic, with the people having the final say. Eternal Tapestry play etheral kraut-prog psychedelic rock that is sure to mend your woes of late.
