The triangle is the strongest shape. A perfect intersection of three points. But these triad relationships don’t have to be restricted to simply geometrics. Some may remember the triangle of two infamous girls and one particular cup, and the strong reactions they drew together.

In this particular triangle however, two points are video premieres – One by Bearcubbin’! and one by 1939 Ensemble – the third point is this Martha falcon post. In both videos, the bands are performing live at secret house shows in Banana Stand Media‘s basement studio.

From their show on July 13, 2014, Bearcubbin’! perform “Raspberry Breaks” and “Master Cylinder.” The full Live From the Banana Stand album will be available in September. And from their show on August 4th, 2013, 1939 Ensemble perform “Slade.” Their full live album is available here. Also, is it just me or does 1939 Ensemble’s drummer David Coniglio look strikingly similar to Jon Hamm?

Catch both bands Friday night at Bunk Bar for their MFNW Night showcase. 9:30pm, $8, 21+
