Rex Marshall has been releasing esoteric, experimental electronic music that channels a combination of Iggy Pop, Nick Cave, and Suicide, under the moniker Mattress for nearly a decade. On July 15, he’ll unveil his latest album, Looking For My People, recorded at Isaac Brock’s Ice Cream Party studio and released on Brock’s Glacial Pace Records. Ahead of the release, Noise & Color is pleased to premiere the album’s title track, “Looking For My People,” a dark, post-apocalyptic feeling lounge tune that paints the picture of a loner singing karaoke to a Mos Eisley Cantina-esque room full of dangerous otherworldly creatures.

See Him Live: Catch Mattress at Mississippi Studios on Friday, July 1, for the hometown release celebration of Looking For My People, along with Coronation who will also be celebrating the release of a new 7″ and Dommengang on tour from Brooklyn.
