Portland classic rock troubadours Foxy Lemon are back with their latest cinematic endeavor, following the placement of their track “Quiteabitofbooty” in a Nike Womens Soccer commercial last year. This time, they’ve got an epic music video for the tune “Butter,” also from their recent split EP with Cambrian Explosion aptly titled Joint. The tune boasts equal parts influence of garage-soul from The White Stripes and unabashed theatrical butt-rock from The Darkness. The video, directed by Benjamin Ross Lyerly, takes inspiration from Dr. Seuss’ “The Butter Battle Book” and pays colorful, dramatic, gun-slinging homage to Baz Luhrmann’s “Romeo + Juliet.” Watch it below in our exclusive premiere.

See Them Live: Catch Foxy Lemon Friday, 7.9, at the Conor Byrne in Seattle with The Low Hums and the Electric NoNo, and Saturday, 7.30, at the Sublimity Mountain Festival.
