Following the release of a collection of demos and b-sides this past January, the young Portland indie trio, Cool American, are set to unveil their debut album, You Can Win A Few, out 7/29 on Good Cheer Records.

Drawing influence from 90’s bleeding-heart indie icons like Pavement and Sunny Day Real Estate, Cool American are right at home with label-mates Little Star, Mo Troper, and Mr. Bones. Ahead of their release, Noise & Color is pleased to premiere the album’s second single, “Only Thing,” a downtempo stroll through discordant character examination – “The only thing that you know how to do / Is to repeat what you were told until it’s true / Oh but it’s alright, you always need somebody real to make you feel that you are free.”

See Them Live: Catch Cool American for an all ages release celebration for You Can Win A Few on Friday, 7.29, at the Clinton Street Theater.
