Don’t let the lo-fi press photo fool you, Stevhen Peters experimental electronic music is very much polished. With cotton candy loops and warbling vocoder, his sound is something akin to Air but through a cracked lens of the American millennial.

Following up on his 2015 cassette Stevhen is Here and Not Here, Peters is set to release a new EP, Playoff, out 8/19 on Lobby Art Records, that he’d written during a period of recovery in the aftermath of a car accident. Ahead of the release, Noise & Color is pleased to premiere the EP’s closing track “Surfingggg,” a dreary, narcotic-fueled, dreamwave head trip.

See Him Live: Catch Stevhen Peters 8/13 at Turn Turn Turn for a Portland release celebration along with Post Moves and Generifus.
